Finding the perfect wedding invitations is not going to be difficult. The best way to search for these invitations is online since the options are unlimited. The bride and groom should have already chosen their colour scheme and theme if there will be one. The wedding invitations should reflect this theme and colour scheme and set the atmosphere for the wedding. Guests will know whether the event is going to be formal or casual just by the invitations that the bride and groom choose. This is important so that all guests dress appropriately and are prepared for the event.

There is certain information that must be included on the wedding invitations. The first is the names of those who are hosting the wedding if the bride and groom are not doing it themselves. The full names of the bride and groom should also be included. This is so that distant relatives and even unknown family friends will be able to address the cards and gifts properly. The wedding invitations should also include the date, time, and location of the ceremony. The wedding invitations should reflect this theme and colour scheme and set the atmosphere for the wedding. Guests will know whether the event is going to be formal or casual just by the invitations that the bride and groom choose.
There is certain information that must be included on the wedding invitations. The first is the names of those who are hosting the wedding if the bride and groom are not doing it themselves. The full names of the bride and groom should also be included. This is so that distant relatives and even unknown family friends will be able to address the cards and gifts properly. If the reception is at a much later time or different location, then this information should be included on the wedding invitations as well. The guests will need all of this information in order to plan for their trip to the wedding.

In addition to the wedding invitations, the guests will need a way to respond. This information can be included directly on the invitation or the bride and groom can include a reply card with the invitation. The reply cards provide all of the information that the bride and groom will need to finalise some of the details of the wedding. The reply card should include lines for the guests to include their names, whether they will be attending the wedding or not, how many people are in their party, and their meal choice if one is offered. The reply card should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so the guests can easily return them. All of this information is crucial to the bride and groom.

There are some additions that the bride and groom may choose to add to the wedding invitations. One of the simplest but most beautiful additions is to add liners to the envelopes. These liners are available in so many colours that the bride and groom can choose ones that will match the color scheme they have chosen. The bride and groom may also choose to have their return address printed on the envelopes. This saves time and costs little money. If the wedding is going to be an elegant, formal event, then the bride and groom should add a tissue paper overlay on top of the wedding invitations. Each of these additions will make the wedding invitations that much more special.

If the bride and groom follow this guide to wedding invitations, then it should be one of the easiest decisions for the couple to make.

You will also want to take a step back so that you can calm down and deal with the events that just happened. You will also need a good night’s sleep before you leave too.

You will want to also ask your travel agent for the honeymoon package so that you can get the best rates. You will find a lot of freebies and discounts when you purchase a honeymoon package.

You should also never feel afraid to call and check your reservations for anything so that you can avoid finding things overbooked or finding any bumps in the road. You will want to also not be afraid to ask anyone about some of the local events or things that you might find enjoyable that are happening in the area. You should also not fear about asking for extra stuff like a romantic scenery from the balcony or having breakfast in bed your first day.

You will also want to bring your marriage certificate along with you so that you can verify exactly who you are because of the name change.

A lot of couples dream of having a Hawaii beach wedding. And why not? The golden coasts, lush vegetation, and a populace known for its warmth and sense of jubilation all make for a vivid and stimulating destination wedding.

But like every great beach wedding idea, a Hawaii destination wedding needs careful thought and planning. Probably the best way to research your Hawaii beach wedding would be to use the internet. The beach theme wedding is so popular there are many websites devoted to Hawaiian ceremonies. You can also find info on a Caribbean beach wedding, Florida beach wedding, and other places that can offer you similarly stimulating venues for your ceremony.

The keyword here is planning. The more you know what you want and the better you can visualize it, the more successful and memorable your big day will be.

The following steps will help you envision, plan, and organize a breathtaking Hawaii beach wedding.

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #1 – Create Your Invitations

Create invitations that reflect the theme of your ceremony. Traditional card invitations that come in light sandy colors are great; alternatively, how about non-traditional invites like small bottles with sand and a rolled sheet of paper inside (with your ceremony details printed on it)?

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #2 – Book Your Destination Wedding

Be sure to settle your venue quick; remember, you’re not the only couple that wants to get married in Hawaii! Check places through travel agencies or online. Research the location, amenities, view, and other details of your Hawaii destination wedding. Also book your minister around this time as well as the all-important reception area.

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #3 – Make Travel Arrangements

If you’re not from Hawaii, book all plane tickets, island rides, and hotel accommodations well in advance so you don’t have to worry about them later. Make sure your hotel is near the venue. The success of a destination wedding hinges on this crucial plan element.

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #4 – Apply for a Marriage License

The application fee for a Hawaiian marriage license is $50. You have 30 days from the issuance of the
license to get married in Hawaii. If it expires, your destination wedding will have to wait. It’s easy enough to reapply but you’ll have to spend $50 again!

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #5 – Choose Your Attire Well

The traditional garb is as follows: a white holoku (Hawaiian bridal dress) for the bride and a white shirt and pants with a colored sash for the groom. If it’s going to be a full outdoor wedding, your attire shouldn’t be too stifling. Arrange maile leis–woven garlands made out of fragrant green leaves – for the two of you to wear. As for a veil–most Hawaiian ceremonies do not require brides to wear veils. She might want to wear a special wreath of flowers on her head instead.

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #6 – Decide On Ceremony Elements

After the ceremony, some couples follow the Chinese practice of lighting fireworks to scare off evil spirits and bestow good luck on the newlyweds; others engage in a Pandango, a Filipino tradition where guests use pins to attach money to the couple as they dance. You can do something similar or you can simply put on a new twist on old practices. For example, instead of a unity candle ceremony, you can try the unity SAND ceremony where the bride and groom mix two different shades of sand into a large glass, signifying their union in a fun and unique way.

Hawaii Beach Wedding Tip #7 – Pick the Right Decorations

Select decor that go hand in hand with your overall theme and beach wedding elements. There’s no need to go overboard with set pieces; minimalism is good as the venue itself is already quite a joy to the senses. But don’t be too barren; just make sure to liven the place up with d

Anyone who recently attended a wedding will surely tell you of the elaborate details included in these professionally orchestrated events.

Anyone who recently attended a wedding will surely tell you of the elaborate details included in these professionally orchestrated events. The weddings of yesteryear may have been simple affairs that included close family members and a pot-luck dinner. But today’s weddings have all the pomp and circumstance afforded to what would have once been considered high-society events; small or large, they are well-coordinated affairs that are infused with the unique personality of the couple and include all the details to which they have given an inordinate amount of thought. One such thought that is inevitable in the modern wedding is that of the out-of-town guests who travel to your wedding destination. Special attention is often paid to these guests – coordinating hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation. One of the ways in which today’s couples choose to honor these guests is by presenting them with wedding gift bags.

Wedding gift bags are most often given to out-of-town guests who are staying at a hotel for your wedding. The gift bag is either left in their hotel room – perhaps on the bed or on the desk – so that it’s the first thing they see when they arrive; or it’s given to them by the front desk staff when they first check in to the hotel. In essence, the gift bags contain “welcome” gifts for guests from the wedding couple.

Different couples choose to do different things with their wedding gifts bags. A gift bag can be filled with bottled water, snacks for the room, and brochures with things to do in and around town for those who may not be familiar with the area. This is especially helpful for traveling guests who – in between wedding activities – may want to explore a city/town they have never before visited.

Some couples also include basic toiletries in their wedding gift bags such as extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, mints, shower gel, lotions, shampoo/conditioner – along with the snacks and water.

For more elaborate wedding gift bags you may choose to include a bottle of wine or champagne and two glasses, chocolates, cheese and crackers, and maybe even a CD of your favorite songs for guests to enjoy in the room.

No matter how you choose to put together your wedding gift bags, it is always important to include a note from you welcoming your guests to town and thanking them for making the trip for your special day. Wedding gift bags can make your guests feel welcomed and appreciated; they are a wonderful way to start the wedding festivities.

Although a gift is not technically mandatory, most people will one to give one to their friends and relatives when they get married. Choosing the perfect gift is not always simple. You want it to be unique and impressive, while still being affordable. Luckily, there are many great ideas for wedding gifts.

A good place for wedding guests to start is with the couple’s bridal registry. It would be a very rare couple who is not registered somewhere. If you do not know the couple very well, picking something from their registry can be the easiest way to go. Sometimes a group, such as the groom’s coworkers, might decide to chip in together on one larger gift instead of buying smaller gifts individually.

Even if you prefer to select a more unique gift, take a peek at the bridal registry for inspiration. It is an easy way to get a sense of the couples wants, needs, taste, and lifestyle. Let’s say that you see that they have requested a corkscrew, ice bucket, and other barware. This would let you know that entertaining is something that the bride and groom enjoy. A very special gift that a guest could give this couple is a set of unique and fabulous vintage cocktail glasses.

Another source of inspiration is the couple’s hobbies and pastimes. If you know that the bride and groom love to travel, a wonderful wedding present would be a good set of luggage, perhaps with their monogram. Gifts do not have to be objects either. If the bride and groom share a passion for a sports team, then tickets to a big game would make a much appreciated gift.

When you are seeking the perfect wedding gift, think luxury. Even when picking a practical gift, look for something that is a step above what the couple would buy for themselves. A set of handtowels becomes something lovely when they are monogrammed. If the bride usually buys her sheets on sale, splurge on a set of the finest Egyptian cotton sheets for her. Everyday luxuries are often the best kind.

A close family member might prefer to give something personal. One of the most cherished wedding gifts that a bride could receive would be a piece of jewelry from her new mother-in-law. Gifts like wedding jewelry show the recipient how much they mean to you, and are a gracious way to say “Welcome to the family!”.

Sometimes a great wedding gift can be the practical things that you would never think to buy for yourself, but will really be able to use. When I got married, one of my bridesmaids gave me a set of storage bags designed to protect all of my new fine china. It may not have been the most thrilling gift, but it was something that I was grateful to receive.

When looking for just the right gift, keep in mind what you know about the couple. Select a gift that you know will suit their taste, encourage their hobbies, or remind them of good times that you have shared together. If you put your heart into the wedding gift, you can be certain that it will be absolutely perfect.

It’s a no-brainer to say that a wedding is a major investment. In the United States, the average cost of it is in the tens of thousands. Weddings are the culmination of years of love, trust and lots of savings, with families laying their hearts and bank accounts on the line. Given the expense and extravagance and the dozens of factors that put a wedding at risk -tropical storms, illnesses, deaths, caterers and dress shops that go bankrupt and cold feet (to name a few), it should come as no surprise that more and more families are purchasing insurance.

Wedding insurance is a type of insurance that covers the numerous potential disasters surrounding a wedding (depending on which plan you buy), and puts those who lay out massive sums of money for the celebration at a reduced financial risk.

It might surprise you that the number one most common wedding insurance claim occurs when a bridal shop suddenly goes bankrupt and the bride is out a dress. Since the dress is such an integral and fragile part of it, it is often a key point of concern for those who buy wedding insurance.

People who travel for their weddings might be considering travel insurance and wondering if the dress is covered. The answer to that question depends on the parameters of a traveler’s insurance policy. Traveler’s insurance is different from wedding insurance, and a traveler’s insurance policy will likely cover your possessions as you travel -i.e., the dress. However, that is not guaranteed. If you choose to purchase traveler’s insurance for your wedding, go over the policy with the salesperson and be sure the dress is covered.

Many wedding insurance plans extend their coverage throughout the United States and offer additional travel insurance. If you are planning a destination, then I recommend purchasing a wedding insurance policy that contains provisions for travel.

These kinds of insurance policies typically cost no more that 1,000 dollars. For a wedding that’s around or above the average cost of 27,000 dollars, that’s a huge bargain. In addition to covering a damaged or misplaced dress, most insurance policies will cover broken or lost gifts, damaged photographs or videos, deadbeat caterers, or in some instances a change of heart in the bride or groom.

All in all, I would say travel insurance and/or wedding insurance is a fairly good investment. I’d hate to see someone I love have their wedding marred or ruined by unfortunate circumstances. And I’d hate it even more if I was footing the bill for a celebration that went awry and had to be re-scheduled. In recent times we’ve seen incredible disasters like the 9/11 terrorist attacks, hurricane Katrina and the massive tsunami. All of these horrific events took place in locations where one might want to hold a destination wedding, which should be a stark reminder of why it is so critical to cover your bases and get traveler’s and wedding insurance.

When the bride and groom leave either the church or the reception, it is customary to have the guests participate in the send off. Usually, the guests will line the walkway or the stairs of the church, prepared to toss something at the newlyweds in celebration and for good luck. These are a few ideas to consider, some traditional, and some not so traditional:

Rice: This is the classic. Rice has been tossed at newlyweds for centuries, because it represents fertility. However, rice has fallen out of favor, because it can be hazardous to birds who may eat it.

Birdseed: Similar to rice, but bird-friendly, birdseed is a top choice these days. Fill small pouches with it and place them in a basket by the door to the church. As the guests leave after the ceremony, they can grab a bag of birdseed. Just be sure that everyone knows they should pour out the seed and toss it loose – you don’t want your guests to whip full bags of birdseed at your head!

Petals: Flower petals look lovely wafting through the air. Choose petals in a light color like white or pink, because the red ones have been known to stain fabrics.

Confetti: Colorful or silver confetti would certainly make for a fun send off. Just be sure that someone will sweep it up later so the venue manager does not get upset with you.

Feathers: Imagine leaving your ceremony in a cloud of snow white feathers. They are a less conventional choice, but feathers can be lovely and ethereal.

Not into having things thrown at you? Then check out these other options for a fun exit:

Blow bubbles: This is a fun and lighthearted thing for your guests to do as you leave the ceremony (and it makes for great pictures). It would be a cute idea for a relatively informal wedding, such as one with the bride in a simple gown and casual wedding jewelry. You can even personalize the bubble jars with your picture, a monogram, or hot glue on a few pearls to coordinate with your wedding jewelry.

Noisemakers: Making noise at weddings is actually based on an old superstition that loud noise will drive away evil spirits. That is also the reason that church bells are often rung at the end of a marriage ceremony.

Glowsticks: These would obviously only work at night, so they might be a good choice for when the newlyweds leave the reception. Having all of your guests gather outside with their glowsticks would make an impressive effect. It is also a fairly unique idea, which is nice.

A wedding ceremony is often a solemn affair, as it is recognizing a momentous rite of passage. It is a great release after the ceremony for the bride and groom to head outside and be showered with cheers and good wishes from their friends and family in celebration of their marriage. Make the moment even more fun by giving your guests something to toss with joy.

When planning your wedding, there are a million tiny details to arrange. One of the ones that can be easily overlooked is the signage that you may need. Signs are often useful to provide special information to your guests. You will want to be certain to plan for signs well in advance, so that they can be made to coordinate with your wedding theme.

One very important reason to have custom signage is to give your guests directions. For example, I once attended a wedding ceremony that took place in a park. The reception that followed was held in a nearby yacht club. There was a little path that connected the two sites, but it would not have been known to anyone from out-of town. To help guests find the shortcut, the bride created pretty little signs that she posted along the path. It worked like a charm, and everyone found their way to the party.

It is very typical in hotels to have signs indicating in which ballroom an event will be held. If you allow the hotel to print the sign, it will most likely be basic black on white paper. Although it would be functional, a generic sign certainly does not make much of a first impression. It would be like choosing a fabulous wedding gown and forgetting the custom bridal jewelry. Technically, you would be dressed, but without spectacular custom bridal jewelry, the effect would not be complete. Instead of a basic boring sign, create one that incorporates your wedding colors or motif. It will make a much more welcoming first impression.

Another type of special sign that you might want is one showing the seating chart. Some brides opt for small table cards – each little card has the name of a guest (or married couple) and their table number. This does, however, require space to put out all of those little cards in alphabetical order. If there is no practical spot in your venue for that, an alternative is a diagrammed seating chart. This type of chart is one large sign (mounted on a stiff backing) that can be propped up on an easel by the entrance to the reception. Take the time to make this functional object as beautiful as possible. Choose a special paper, and use a simple calligraphy for the names and table numbers. A great way to dress up the chart is by renting or borrowing a very decorative easel (don’t use a plain black one – it looks too much like something left over from a business presentation).

Other types of wedding signage that you may need include small signs pointing the way to the restrooms and details on where to catch your shuttle (if you are providing this service). Due to the very unromantic nature of restrooms, make any signs on that subject extra pretty and fancy. In general, it would be nice to coordinate your special signs to the feeling of your wedding stationary suite for a consistent look throughout. For example, if your wedding stationary was done with formal engraving, your signage should be equally traditional. Brides who chose wedding invitations with handmade paper could use similar floral – flecked paper for all of their signs.

Keeping a unified feeling throughout all aspects of your wedding will make the event feel more polished and pulled together. You do not want to leave any of the details up to someone else (like the hotel wedding coordinator) who may not help to realize your wedding vision. Careful attention to even the smallest detail is exactly the sort of thing that will help to set your wedding apart.

If you are planning a wedding, have you given any thought yet to transportation? How the bride and groom will get from Point A to Point B is not just a logistical question; it is also a matter of style. The mode of transportation that you choose to take you from home to ceremony and ceremony to reception should blend in perfectly with your overall wedding theme.

There are numerous choices for wedding conveyances. You want your transportation to feel as special as the rest of your wedding, so this is not the day to take the subway or drive yourself in your regular car. Part of being a bride (or groom) is being pampered, and you will want to treat yourself to something that feels luxurious.

The traditional transportation for the bride and groom is a limousine. Limos are usually black or white, and can come in a few different sizes. White cars definitely scream “wedding”, whereas black limos are appropriate for any number of special occasions. When determining the size of car to hire, stop and think about who might ride in it besides the bride and groom. Frequently, the bride and all of her bridesmaids will take the limo from home to the ceremony, and after that the bride and groom will want to be alone in the limo. If you and your attendants are wearing gowns with full skirts, be sure that the vehicle will accommodate everyone without crushing or wrinkling the dresses. Sometimes couples will also rent limos to convey their parents rest of the bridal party, but it is not mandatory, so don’t worry if that expense does not fit into your budget.

There are other types of cars that can be hired for the wedding day. A very formal wedding with the groom in black tie and the bride in a fancy gown with ornate wedding jewelry would call for a very special car, like a Bentley. For brides who prefer a more understated elegance, a Town Car is always a nice choice. There has been a trend in recent years towards using huge cars, like stretch Hummers, but with the shift towards greener lifestyles, a giant gas-guzzler is more likely to appall than impress your guests. It is always nicer to err on the side of being less ostentatious.

Certainly your wedding transportation does not have to be a car. A horse and carriage is a lovely way for the bride and groom to travel. Look for someone who specializes in weddings, and will dress the coach with beautiful flowers. A variation on this idea is a horse-drawn sleigh for a winter wedding. This could be perfect for a bride having a winter wonderland themed wedding. She could wear a velvet gown with twinkling crystal wedding jewelry and a dramatic cape. Imagine how cozy it would be to snuggle up with your new husband and ride along to the sound of sleigh bells jingling. It would be like something out of a Bing Crosby song.

There is one form of transportation that is absolutely free, and that is your own two feet. In many parts of Europe, there is a charming custom that involves the bride and groom leading a processional of guests from the ceremony to the reception. The entire group forms a little parade, cheered on by well-wishers. It is a lovely tradition. Since most American guests will be unfamiliar with this type of proceeding, you would want to inform them before the wedding, otherwise they will just get in their cars and drive off. It should be a given that he two locations ought to be close enough together to make it an easy stroll, not a long hike.

With all of the many wedding details to consider, fabulous transportation may not be at the forefront of your mind. Don’t forget about it though, because the bride and groom should certainly travel in style on their wedding day. Take the time to choose a special conveyance that will add to the fun of your big day.
